Piscium Security Wins First Place at the Pwned 2025 CTF Challenge

Our Participation

On October 18th and 19th, we had the pleasure of attending Pwned 2025, one of the most relevant cybersecurity events in Costa Rica and the region. This annual gathering brings together enthusiasts, professionals, and experts from across Latin America with a shared goal, to exchange knowledge, enhance skills, and continue building a stronger cybersecurity community.

Events like these are essential for the growth of the cybersecurity ecosystem. They offer technical talks, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities for all experience levels, fostering collaboration among professionals, companies, and communities that work every day toward a safer digital world.

This year, Piscium Security was proud to take an active role in Pwned 2025, engaging with peers and industry leaders across various activities. Our team attended insightful sessions covering topics such as red teaming, advanced penetration testing, threat intelligence, and cloud security, gaining new perspectives and learning about the latest trends shaping the cybersecurity landscape.

Beyond technical knowledge, the event provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships with other professionals, exchange experiences, and explore future collaborations within and beyond Costa Rica. We firmly believe that innovation in cybersecurity comes from continuous knowledge sharing and collaboration among those who share a passion for protecting the digital world.

The CTF Challenge

One of the most exciting moments of Pwned 2025 was our participation in the CTF (Capture The Flag) Challenge. A cybersecurity competition that tests participants technical skills, creativity, and teamwork.

Our specialists tackled a wide range of challenges, including vulnerability exploitation, reverse engineering, digital forensics, and cryptography, demonstrating the technical expertise and analytical mindset that define Piscium Security. After hours of intense problem-solving and collaboration, our team proudly achieved first place, marking a significant milestone that reflects our passion and dedication.

This victory goes beyond the competition itself. It reinforces our commitment to technical excellence, continuous learning, and teamwork, which are at the core of who we are as a company.

Final Thoughts

Participating in Pwned 2025 reaffirmed our mission to contribute actively to the growth of the cybersecurity community across Latin America. We are motivated to keep learning, sharing, and pushing our limits to deliver even more robust security solutions to our clients and partners.

We extend our gratitude to the Pwned 2025 organizers for creating such a valuable space for knowledge exchange, and to all participants for making this event a memorable experience.

At Piscium Security, we believe cybersecurity is built through community and events like Pwned 2025 are proof of that.
